There isn’t a fixed time! You wake up at whatever hour benefits YOU. 

And your routine should last for as much time as you have. So, remember, even if your morning routine takes a few minutes, your preparation for the right mindset starts the night before.

Finding the perfect morning routine for you is a process that involves a lot of trial and error. 

Although you can be inspired by other people’s routines, you shouldn’t try to copy them carelessly. 

Your morning routine is supposed to adapt to you, not the other way around.

Start by thinking about what would you like and what do you need to happen in the mornings. These are sometimes two different things.

Don’t try to do it all at once. Start including one thing or two and see how that works for you.

 If you find these new morning habits works and you still have time for other things, you may include them as well. Slowly, adapt and change your routine little by little until it completely satisfies you.

• Practice gratitude – appreciate the fact that you are alive and appreciate everything that you have. 

• Hydrate – after 7 to 8 hours of sleep, your body is dehydrated. A dehydrated body doesn’t perform well. So, first things first, drink a glass or two of water in the mornings.

• Open your curtains or windows – let the sunlight in. Get your Vitamin D and shake off that groggy feeling at the same time.

Move around – either walk, exercise, or stretch while making breakfast. Your body loves movement and being active since the morning prepares you to be active for the rest of the day.

• Eat your breakfast – honestly, you need to stop feeding your body just coffee to wake up. If you’ve got time for checking your emails, you’ve got time for making a toast.

• Take a shower – well, if you are struggling to wake up, this should do the trick.

Journal – writing your preoccupations, feelings, to-do’s, or simple reminders can help to declutter your mind and focus on what’s important.

• Avoid screen time in the mornings – I get it. Your phone is your alarm and when you reach for it, the notifications are right there in front of you. But… Social media and emails can easily make you stressed or demotivate you even before you get out of bed. Why would you want your day to start like that?

• Review your day – take a look at your to-do list or your calendar to get into the right mindset and prepare for what’s coming during the day.
